What is Senna?

Senna is the world's most widely used herbal laxative. Senna Pods contain substances called Anthraquinone Glycosides, which are absorbed,from the intestinal tract and the active Anthraquinones excreted into the colon where they exert their stimulant effect. 

The Senna plant is native to tropical Africa and cultivated in Egypt.It´s active ingredients, sennosides are found in its leaves and its seed pods.

Senna has been used as a traditional herbal laxative for centuries.

What are the benefits of using this supplement?

If you suffer from occasional constipation this could be the answer. It is however not recommended to take this for more than 2 weeks and you should consult your doctor if constipation lasts longer than this. It is also sometimes used for weight loss but should not be used on a regular basis.

Do not take if pregnant, lactating or trying to become pregnant.
