Why the Dragons Den?
We went on the Dragons Den to show the public our new product HALO Non Bio Laundry Detergent. This is the first Non Bio Laundry Detergent proven to kill Hospital Super Bugs such as C.diff spores, MRSA, Salmonella and many more bacteria.
The product has been rigorously tested to British Standards and is proven to kill Hospital Super Bugs such as C.difficile, MRSA at 30 degrees.
We believe the public should be aware of this product and hope by being on the Den a Multi Retailer will stock the product.
Our 3 minute pitch to the Dragons
Introduction
Hi. My names Paul Ward and I am a Director of Paragon PE Ltd. We manufacture a product range of non hazardous cleaning products that are proven to kill Hospital Super Bugs such as MRSA & C.Diff spores.
We are asking for an investment of £100,000 for 5% of our company. This will enable us to ADVERTISE our newest product in the range HALO.
Why Use Halo
Is the only Non Bio Liquid laundry detergent on the market scientifically proven to kill Hospital Super Bugs MRSA and C.difficile spores. At 30 degree.
It has been independently tested to EN13704 & EN1276.
There is no other product available that can make this claim.
NHS has 1.3 million workers.
Care sector has 0.5 million workers.
14 million people visit sick relatives each year.
All these people are concerned about infection.
HALO is also environmentally friendly
Not only does it kill Super Bugs it is good for the environment.
As much as 73% energy saving by washing at 30 degrees.
40 % less packing than a using powders - means less going to land fill And less transport cost as you can get more on a vehicle.
Packaging is 100% recyclable.
The product is Non Bio and kind to the skin, so people with sensitive skin and new born babies clothing can be washed in it.
NHS - Royal Collage Of Nursing
The Royal collage of Nursing are interested in this product as nurses wash their uniforms at Home. Nurses are concerned about cross contamination I.e. bring bacteria home.
The NHS wash at 71 degrees and 65 degrees to kill bacteria HALO works at 30 degrees C.Diff can live outside the body for months. Most people wash at 40 degrees this will not kill C.Diff. HALO works at 30 degrees.
MRSA Action UK
A registered charity called MRSA Action UK are happy for us to put their logo on the label of the product as they believe it can only highlight the fact that people are dying from Cross Infection in hospitals. Edwina Curry is the Patron of this Charity.
Trade History
Using the same active ingredient that is in HALO, we have 10 other products which we sell into the care and janitorial markets. The Niche to all the products is they are Non Hazardous but kill MRSA & C.Diff spore and other bacteria.
It has taken 3 years of development to get the products approved.
Financial
These sales are mainly in the care sector and janitorial markets.
By introducing HALO in the retail market we believe we will have sales of the laundry product in excess of £1 million pounds IN THE FIRST YEAR.
HALO generates 33% net return.
Not only is it an investment in HALO but all the products which we believe can be sold into retail.
Return on investment after 2 years plus 5% of a profitable company.
Investment
The £100,000 investment will be used for advertising HALO laundry detergent in magazines regional TV adverts and Internet marketing over a 12 month period.
Business forecast.
Year 1 after the £100k investment - £1.5 million turnover - net profit £250,000 + Year 2 Turnover £2.5 million - net profit £500,000 Year 3 Turnover £4 million - net profit £750,000.
